CIMAHI — Persiapan penyelenggaraan Festival Wajit Cililin 2026 bertajuk “Menggali Sejarahnya, Meracik Wajitnya, Mengapresiasi Nilainya”, mulai dimatangkan melalui rapat perdana prafestival. Rapat digelar di Kampus IKIP Siliwangi, Kota Cimahi, Senin (2/2/2026). Pertemuan tersebut menjadi langkah awal untuk menyusun rangkaian kegiatan festival. Sekaligus memperkuat kolaborasi antarpihak dalam mengangkat kembali nilai budaya dan ekonomi wajit khas Cililin.
Dalam rapat tersebut, panitia yang dipimpin DR. Reka Yuda Mahardika, membahas sejumlah agenda penting. Mulai dari koordinasi tim pelaksana, penyusunan rencana kemitraan, hingga program workshop dan pelatihan.
Fokus utama diarahkan pada pengembangan kapasitas relawan dan kader muda. Agar mampu terlibat aktif dalam pelaksanaan festival maupun pelestarian kuliner tradisional daerah.
Selain itu, diskusi juga menyoroti pentingnya inovasi produk wajit agar mampu mengikuti perkembangan pasar tanpa meninggalkan cita rasa dan identitas tradisionalnya. Upaya tersebut dinilai penting untuk menjaga eksistensi wajit Cililin sebagai salah satu produk unggulan budaya lokal Jawa Barat.
Festival Wajit Cililin direncanakan tidak hanya menjadi ajang promosi kuliner tradisional. Tetapi juga ruang edukasi dan apresiasi terhadap sejarah serta nilai budaya wajit yang telah diwariskan turun-temurun.
Melalui festival ini, panitia berharap masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, semakin mengenal dan mencintai warisan kuliner daerah.
Rapat perdana ini juga menjadi momentum awal untuk membangun sinergi antara akademisi, komunitas, pelaku UMKM, dan masyarakat. Dalam menyukseskan festival yang diharapkan dapat menjadi agenda budaya tahunan.*
